GUESTHOUSE UGHETTI 21, Catania – A Smart Stay in the City

All 6 rooms at Guesthouse Ughetti 21 include balconies and soundproofing for enhanced privacy, a feature not common in central Catania. Each unit has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a minibar, and a private bathroom equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries. The hotel offers a shared lounge area with a TV, a lift, and daily housekeeping, with an emphasis on allergy-free units throughout.

Each morning, guests receive vouchers for an Italian breakfast served at a local café next door, rather than on-site. The breakfast menu offers two different options, and the arrangement has received high praise from past guests for its quality and convenience. Breakfast choices may include a pastry and a cappuccino or a savory item, depending on the café's daily offering.

Guesthouse Ughetti 21 sits within a 15-minute walk of Catania Piazza Duomo, the Catania Amphitheatre, and Villa Bellini park. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 6 km away, and a paid shuttle service is available to arrange transfers. The building is near the metro and a supermarket, placing both cultural landmarks and daily essentials within easy reach on foot.

A self-check-in system allows guests to access the property at any time using key card entry, and private check-in/check-out is available for those who prefer a personal welcome. A first aid kit is kept on the premises, and the hotel has a policy of non-smoking rooms throughout the building. Guests who arrive by car can use the paid parking, though availability is not guaranteed and must be coordinated in advance.

Past guests have rated the hotel 10 out of 10 for stays that included a Double Room with Balcony, citing the closeness to the city centre and the quality of the bed. Another group noted that the bathroom was cleaned daily, and that the property allowed luggage storage after checkout. Recurring praise in reviews focuses on the comfortable beds, the daily cleaning schedule, and the helpful suggestions given by the hosting staff.
